Hi Richard I'm from Australia and just finished your book Breaking the Code. I have dyslexia and I'm a very poor speller. I have coloured glasses, which help a great deal when I read. I also come from an era when they trialled the removal of phonics in the education system. I enjoyed reading your book, even though it made me feel angry with all of this new research into dyslexia and my educational experience/experiment. When you described the code breaking system it seems so obvious. I’ve been going around all week re reading everything I come into contact with breaking it into chunks. Its like a new language has appeared out of nowhere. All very exciting. Thankyou so much for writing something that has finally broken my code of the English language. Kind Regards Matthew Stapleton Sydney - Australia"

"After reading Spel... Is A Four-Letter Word, I changed my spelling instruction to include more chances for invented spelling. My students' writing has flourished with a new ability to express exactly what they want to say, unconfined by the boundaries of "correct spelling"."

"My husband and I have been trying to find some help for our daughter who has dyslexia. For the past two years she has struggled with reading, spelling and math. With very little help from the public school system in our area- we have been forced to homeschool. Any help or info is appreciated."

Hello, My name is Teresa Pugmire. I am a teacher of kindergarten students and a mother of a struggling reader. I got your book on Friday and just finished reading it today, (Sunday). I just wanted to tell you that I think it is one of the best books about teaching reading that I have ever seen. I am excited to use it to help me be a better teacher to my kindergarten students and to help my 11 year old son become a better reader. I graduated from the University of Utah with a Master's Degree in reading and your book is the best resource I have on my shelf! I am excited to make sure all the primary grade teachers in my school get a copy. Thank you! Teresa Pugmire"
